Chrysler’s Earth Day Treat
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009
Just in case you don’t have a calendar that notifies you or you’ve been living under a rock for the last week – Wednesday was Earth Day.
Retailers have been expressing their gratitude to Mother Earth all week by printing their flyers on recycled paper, giving away reusable shopping bags and offering all kinds of goodies in exchange for recyclables. Yet, Chrysler managed to one up them all on Wednesday. They unveiled the Peapod.
The Peapod is Chrysler’s GEM division’s adorable and futuristic new NEV (neighborhood electric vehicle). It’s a bit smaller than a Mini Cooper and always sports a smile. Check this out for a closer look: Peapod.
It’s refreshing to see Chrysler’s release of the Peapod, and not just because I already want one. Hybrids and electric cars have been talked about for so long it’s a breath of emission free air to see everything happening.
